Keanau Ormson.

Who He Is

Keanau has spent his career at the intersection of change management and learning and development, two disciplines organizations either treat as separate or collapse together into something unrecognizable. His argument, made mostly through the work itself, is that combining them is what makes transformation stick.

He works on the part of transformation that has nothing to do with technology and everything to do with whether it lasts: the people who have to live with the change.

How He Works

On a retailer engagement, he made multiple visits to the client's fulfillment center before building anything. He wanted to understand what the workforce was dealing with, who was skeptical, and why. The employees who pushed back hardest at the start were the same ones pulling their coworkers along by the end.

That is the pattern. Keanau spends time with leadership and frontline staff before he designs anything, mapping where friction lives, who the skeptics are, and what they actually need. The programs he builds are shaped by what he finds.

At Peloton, that produced an onboarding redesign that cut ramp time by 25% across more than 40 sites. At ABK, an enterprise technology rollout that moved from 50% to 95% adoption. At Summit, a retailer engagement where his scope expanded multiple times because the client kept pulling him deeper.

Prosci certified. He uses research-backed frameworks and adapts them to what each engagement requires.

What He Works On

Keanau leads the people and performance work at Motif Collective. His background spans organizational change, learning and development, and talent strategy, usually all three at once.

He has led multi-site transformations, built change agent networks, redesigned onboarding programs, and served as a practice lead in change management. Most data and analytics engagements have a change problem inside them. That is his part of the work.

In addition to client engagements, Keanau is Motif Collective's Head of People Operations. He runs the same change and people practices inside the firm that he brings to clients, so the playbook he recommends is one the collective has already lived.

Background

His career spans Northside Hospital (2018), Peloton (2021), Activision Blizzard King (2022), Summit Advisory Team (2024), and helping build the foundation for Motif Collective in 2026.
